air traffic control service means a service provided for the purpose of:
Traffic control signal means a device, whether manually, electrically, or mechanically operated, by which traffic is alternately directed to stop and permitted to proceed.
Traffic control device means a flagger, sign, signal, marking, or other device used to regulate, warn or guide traffic, placed on, over, or adjacent to a street, highway, private road open to public travel, pedestrian facility, or shared-use path by authority of a public agency or official having jurisdiction, or, in the case of a private road open to public travel, by authority of the private owner or private official having jurisdiction.
Official traffic-control devices means all signs, signals, markings, and devices not inconsistent with this chapter placed or erected by authority of a public body or official having jurisdiction, for the purpose of regulating, warning, or guiding traffic.
InterMTA Traffic means traffic to or from WSP’s network that, at the beginning of the call, originates in one MTA and terminates in another MTA.
Transit Traffic MOUs means all Transit Traffic minutes of use to be billed at the Transit Traffic rate by AT&T-TSP.
IntraLATA Toll Traffic means the IntraLATA traffic, regardless of the transport protocol method, between two locations within one LATA where one of the locations lies outside of the mandatory local calling area as defined by the Commission.
VNXX Traffic is all traffic originated by a Party’s End User Customer and dialed with a local dialing pattern that is not terminated to the other Party’s End User Customer physically located within the same CenturyLink Local Calling Area (as approved by the state Commission) as the originating caller, regardless of the NPA-NXX dialed. VNXX does not include originating 8XX traffic.
Emergency Medical Transportation means the transportation, by ambulance, of sick, injured or otherwise incapacitated persons who require emergency medical care.
Local Traffic means traffic (excluding Commercial Mobile Radio Service “CMRS” traffic) that is originated and terminated within Embarq’s local calling area, or mandatory extended area service (EAS) area, as defined by the Commission or, if not defined by the Commission, then as defined in existing Embarq Tariffs. For this purpose, Local Traffic does not include any ISP-Bound Traffic.
Transit Traffic means traffic originating on CLEC’s network that is switched and transported by AT&T-TSP and delivered to a Third Party Terminating Carrier’s network or traffic from a Third Party Originating Carrier’s network. A call that is originated or terminated by a CLEC purchasing local switching pursuant to a commercial agreement with AT&T-TSP is not considered Transit Traffic for the purposes of this Attachment. Additionally Transit Traffic does not include traffic to/from IXCs.
Sex trafficking means the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person for the purpose of a commercial sex act.
Traffic lane or "lane" means that portion of a roadway designed or designated to accommodate the
Local Access Transport Area or "LATA" is as defined in the Act.
air traffic means all aircraft in flight or operating on the manoeuvring area of an aerodrome;
InterLATA Traffic describes Telecommunications between a point located in a Local Access and Transport Area ("LATA") and a point located outside such area.
international traffic means any transport by a ship or aircraft operated by an enterprise that has its place of effective management in a Contracting State, except when the ship or aircraft is operated solely between places in the other Contracting State;
National Road Traffic Act means the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act 93 of 1996);
Quality control means the total of all activities performed by the Design-Builder, Designer, Construction Inspection Professional Engineering Firm and the Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory, subcontractors, producers or manufacturers to ensure that the Work performed by the Design-Builder conforms to the Contract requirements. For design, Quality Control activities shall include, but not be limited to, procedures for design quality, checking, design review including reviews for constructability, and review and approval of Working Plans. For construction, Quality Control activities shall include, but not be limited to, procedures for materials handling and construction quality, inspection, sampling and testing of materials both on site and at the plant(s), field testing of materials, obtaining and verifying Materials Certifications, record keeping, and equipment monitoring and calibration, production process control, and monitoring of environmental compliance. Quality Control also includes documentation of all QC design and construction efforts. The Scope of Work to be performed as part of the Quality Control task may be changed after the RFQ Phase.
ITAR means the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, 22 C.F.R. §§ 120-130, as amended.
Safety Management System has the meaning given to it in the ISM Code.
Control Area(s) means an electric power system or combination of electric power systems to which a common automatic generation control scheme is applied.
New England Control Area or “NECA” is the Control Area for New England as defined in the ISO-NE Tariff.
National Ambient Air Quality Standards or “NAAQS” means national ambient air quality standards that are promulgated pursuant to Section 109 of the Act, 42 U.S.C. § 7409.
Air pollution control equipment means a mechanism, device, or contrivance used to control or prevent air pollution, that is not, aside from air pollution control laws and administrative regulations, vital to production of the normal product of the source or to its normal operation.
Access control means a system for allowing only approved individuals to have unescorted access to the security zone and for ensuring that all other individuals are subject to escorted access.
