Refrigeration Mechanic or Serviceperson Grade 4 definition

Refrigeration Mechanic or Serviceperson Grade 4 means Refrigeration Mechanic or Serviceperson Grade I, who has had not less than 3 years experience on-the-job as a tradesperson and possesses a sound working knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning electrical and electronic systems as to enable the employee to commission, service, diagnose faults and repair domestic, commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Refrigeration Mechanic or Serviceperson Grade 4 means Refrigeration Mechanic or Serviceperson Grade I, who has had not less than three-years’ experience on-the-job as a tradesperson and possesses a sound working knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning electrical and electronic systems as to enable the employee to commission, service, diagnose faults and repair domestic, commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. To be classified as a Refrigeration Mechanic Grade IV, the employee must have satisfactorily completed a two-year post trade course in Industrial Electronics. In addition, to be classified as a Refrigeration Mechanic or Serviceperson Grade IV, a tradesperson may be required to carry out the following duties:

  • Elevator mechanic means any person who possesses an elevator

  • Finished grade means the grade upon completion of the fill or excavation.

  • Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) means a vehicle that is similar to a Hybrid but is equipped with a larger, more advanced battery that allows the vehicle to be plugged in and recharged in addition to refueling with gasoline. This larger battery allows the car to be driven on a combination of electric and gasoline fuels.
