scientific research and experimental development ex- penses means, with respect to expenses incurred by an entity in a fiscal year, the total of all expenses in- curred by the entity in the year that are described in subparagraph 37 (1) (a) (i), (i.1) or (ii) or 37 (1) (b) (i) or (ii) of the Income Tax Act (Canada).   • experimental development means acquiring, combining, shaping and using existing scientific, technological, business and other relevant knowledge and skills with the aim of developing new or improved products, processes or services. This may also include, for example, activities aiming at the conceptual definition, planning and documentation of new products, processes or services;

  • scientific research means any activity in the field of natural or applied science for the extension of knowledge;

  • Commercial Development Plan means the written commercialization plan attached as Appendix E.

  • Collaboration Technology means all Collaboration Patents and Collaboration Know-How.

  • Development Program means the implementation of the development plan.
