Rigid drawbar trailer means a towed vehicle with one axle or axle group, a drawbar which is not able to rotate relative to the vehicle or, due to the presence of a suspension system (for example), can only rotate to a limited extent about one axis – parallel to the road surface and transverse to the direction of travel – and is therefore able to transmit vertical forces to the towing vehicle.
