Security Breach definition

Security Breach means (i) any act or omission that materially compromises either the security, confidentiality or integrity of Named Entity Protected Data, or the physical, technical, administrative or organizational safeguards put in place by Vendor or any Authorized Persons that relate to the protection of the security, confidentiality or integrity of Named Entity Protected Data, (ii) receipt of a complaint in relation to the privacy practices of Vendor or any Authorized Persons or a breach or alleged breach of this Contract relating to such privacy practices.
Security Breach means any actual loss, unauthorised or unlawful processing, destruction, damage, or alteration, or unauthorised disclosure of, or access to the Customer Personal Data, and terms defined in a provision of this Appendix shall have the meaning given to them in that provision

Examples of Security Breach in a sentence

  • The Provider shall implement and maintain commercially reasonable security procedures and practices that otherwise meet or exceed industry standards designed to protect Student Data from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure, including but not limited to the unauthorized acquisition of computerized data that compromises the security, confidentiality, or integrity of the Student Data (a "Security Breach").

  • Upon becoming aware of a Security Breach, or of circumstances that are reasonably understood to suggest an actual or suspected Security Breach of VCU Data, Firm will immediately notify VCU consistent with applicable state or federal laws, fully investigate the incident, and cooperate fully with VCU’s investigation of and response to the incident.

  • Immediately upon becoming aware of a Security Breach, or a complaint of a Security Breach, Contractor shall notify the District Designated Representative in writing as set forth herein, fully investigate the Security Breach, cooperate fully with the District’s investigation of and response to the Security Breach, and use best efforts to prevent any further Security Breach at Contractor’s expense in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

  • The District may require Contractor to suspend all Services, pending the investigation and successful resolution of any Security Breach, and Contractor may be required to reimburse District all amounts paid for any period during which Services were not rendered.

Security Breach is defined in Section 11.5 hereof.
Security Breach means an event in which District Data is exposed to unauthorized disclosure, access, alteration or use or a system configuration that results in a documented unsecured disclosure, access, alteration or use, in a manner not permitted in this Addendum, which poses a significant risk of financial, reputational or other harm to the affected End User or the District.
Security Breach means the unauthorized disclosure of student education records or student PII by a third party.
Security Breach means the unauthorized acquisition of or access to Customer Data by an unauthorized person that compromises the security, confidentiality, or integrity of Customer Data, including instances in which internal personnel access systems in excess of their user rights or use systems inappropriately. “Security Breach” shall also be deemed to include any breach of security, confidentiality, or privacy as defined by any applicable law, rule, regulation, or order.
Security Breach means any actual or reasonably suspected: (a) inability to access Buyer Data due to an attack or exploit; (b) unauthorized or accidental access, acquisition, alteration, disclosure, use, theft, destruction, or loss to or of Buyer Data; or (c) introduction of unauthorized code or data into Buyer Systems.
Security Breach means a security-relevant event in which the security of a system or procedure used to create, obtain, transmit, maintain, use, process, store or dispose of data is breached, and in which University Data is exposed to unauthorized disclosure, access, alteration, or use.
Security Breach means a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, Notary Business Personal Data transmitted, stored or otherwise processed.
