The Solent LEP will also, where appropriate, enter into a three-way dialogue with the applicant and other parties in order to discuss the viability of a project (for example, with the local planning authority, where the viability of a scheme is impacted by the scale of the planning obligations).
At the national level the Solent LEP is a member of the LEP Network.
In addition to the Solent LEP Executive team, support to the LEP governance structure is provided by ex-officio representation from government departments, government agencies, as well as local public and private sector partners.
In line with the requirements of the LEP Review, this ensures the Solent LEP continues to have a secretariat independent of local government to support the Chair and board in decision making.
