Source patient definition

Source patient means any person whose body fluids have been the source of a significant exposure to a medical or emergency responder.
Source patient means any individual cared for by a pre-hospital emergency medical services provider, including but not limited to victims of accidents or injury, deceased persons, and prisoners or persons in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
