SPD Emulsion definition

SPD Emulsion means any component or components used or usable in or used or usable to make a Light Valve Film, including, but not limited to, particles, particle precursors, coatings, polymers, liquid suspensions and suspending liquids, or any combination thereof.
SPD Emulsion shall have the same meaning as such term is used in the Emulsion License Agreement.

  • The foregoing license is only a license with respect to Light Valve Film and nothing contained in this Agreement shall permit LICENSEE to make, sell, use or otherwise dispose of SPD Emulsion or other Light Valve products.

  • LICENSOR hereby represents and warrants that, as of the Effective Date hereof, to the best of its knowledge there have been no claims, actions or proceedings brought or threatened against it or its licensees alleging that any SPD Emulsion, Light Valve Film, and Light Valves manufactured using Technical Information or other technical information disclosed by LICENSOR constitutes infringement of any patent of any third party.

  • By virtue of the disclosure of Technical Information and training provided by LICENSOR under this Agreement and under the Emulsion License Agreement, all Light Valve Film sold, leased or otherwise disposed of by or for LICENSEE hereunder shall be considered to have been manufactured at least in part using SPD Emulsion as well as the Technical Information provided by LICENSOR.

  • In the event that such customer purchases, leases or rents products or services from LICENSEE that involves the control of light other than SPD Emulsion or Light Valve Film, LICENSEE shall include the details of such transaction in its quarterly report under Section 3.1 hereof, and shall pay LICENSOR a sales commission equal to 10% of the amount received from such customer.

  • LICENSEE agrees to assign personnel from its technical staff who shall work on the development of SPD Emulsion and Light Valve Film during the term of this Agreement.

  • The foregoing license is only a license with respect to Light Valve Film and nothing contained in this Agreement shall permit LICENSEE to make, sell, use (except to manufacture Light Valve Film) or otherwise dispose of end products incorporating SPD Emulsion or Light Valve Film.

  • Upon request by LICENSEE during the term of this Agreement, and when mutually convenient to LICENSOR and LICENSEE, LICENSOR shall supply LICENSEE with additional training in LICENSOR's or LICENSEE's facility and with small quantities of materials related to SPD Emulsion for experimental use only by LICENSEE, and shall charge LICENSEE $750 per man/day plus the cost of any other materials used in providing such training or making such materials, plus the cost of shipping such materials to LICENSEE.

  • Diatomaceous earth filtration means a process resulting in substantial particulate removal in which (1) a precoat cake of diatomaceous earth filter media is deposited on a support membrane (septum), and (2) while the water is filtered by passing through the cake on the septum, additional filter media known as body feed is continuously added to the feed water to maintain the permeability of the filter cake.

  • HEPA filter means high-efficiency particulate air filters that are rated to achieve a minimum initial particle-removal efficiency of 99.97 per cent using ASTM F 1471– 93 or equivalent standard;

  • Pump spray means a packaging system in which the product ingredients within the container are not under pressure and in which the product is expelled only while a pumping action is applied to a button, trigger or other actuator.

  • High global warming potential hydrofluorocarbons means any hydrofluorocarbons in a particular end use for which EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program has identified other acceptable alternatives that have lower global warming potential. The SNAP list of alternatives is found at 40 CFR Part 82 subpart G with supplemental tables of alternatives available at (http://www.epa.gov/snap/).

  • Cannabinoid edible means food or potable liquid into which a cannabinoid concentrate, cannabinoid extract or dried marijuana leaves or flowers have been incorporated.

  • COVID-19 symptoms means fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea, unless a licensed health care professional determines the person’s symptoms were caused by a known condition other than COVID-19.

  • Air-purifying respirator means a respirator with an air-purifying filter, cartridge, or canister that removes specific air contaminants by passing ambient air through the air-purifying element.

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation or "CPR" means artificial ventilation or external chest compression applied to a person who is unresponsive and not breathing.

  • Screening Test Technician (STT) means anyone who instructs and assists individuals in the alcohol testing process and operates an ASD.

  • Vaccine means a specially prepared antigen which, upon administration to a person, will result in immunity and, specifically for the purposes of this rule, shall mean influenza and pneumococcal vaccines.

  • Positive pressure respirator means a respirator in which the pressure inside the respiratory inlet covering exceeds the ambient air pressure outside the respirator.

  • Bioassay means the determination of kinds, quantities or concentrations and, in some cases, the locations of radioactive material in the human body, whether by direct measurement, in vivo counting, or by analysis and evaluation of materials excreted or removed from the human body. For purposes of these rules, “radiobioassay” is an equivalent term.

  • Biodegradable means degradable through a process by which fungi or bacteria secrete enzymes to convert a complex molecular structure to simple gasses and organic compounds.

  • MSAA Indicator Technical Specifications document means, as the context requires, either or both of the document entitled “Multi-Sector Service Accountability Agreement (MSAA) 2019-20 Indicator Technical Specifications November 5, 2018 Version 1.3” and the document entitled “Multi-Sector Service Accountability Agreement (MSAA) 2019-20 Target and Corridor-Setting Guidelines” as they may be amended or replaced from time to time;

  • Aerosol coating product means a pressurized coating product containing pigments or resins that dispenses product ingredients by means of a propellant, and is packaged in a disposable can for hand-held application, or for use in specialized equipment for ground traffic/marking applications.

  • Polystyrene foam adhesive means an aerosol adhesive designed to bond polystyrene foam to substrates.

  • Plasma arc incinerator means any enclosed device using a high intensity electrical discharge or arc as a source of heat followed by an afterburner using controlled flame combustion and which is not listed as an industrial furnace.

  • Precursor means any chemical reactant which takes part at any stage in the production by whatever method of a toxic chemical. This includes any key component of a binary or multicomponent chemical system.

  • Receptor means enclosed spaces, conduits, protected groundwater sources, drinking and non-drinking water wells, surface water bodies, and public water systems which when impacted by chemicals of concern may result in exposure to humans and aquatic life, explosive conditions or other adverse effects on health, safety and the environment as specified in these rules.
