Spot Buying Rate definition

Spot Buying Rate means the Bank of Canada noon rate for Canadian Funds against U.S. Funds or U.S. Funds against Canadian Funds (as quoted or published from time to time by the Bank of Canada), as the case may be, on the relevant date of determination;
Spot Buying Rate means, in relation to the conversion of one currency into another currency, the rate of exchange for such conversion as quoted by the Bank of Canada (or if not quoted, the spot rate of exchange quoted for wholesale transactions by the Administrative Agent in accordance with its standard money market practices) at approximately noon (Toronto time) on the Banking Day such conversion is to be made.
Spot Buying Rate means: (1) in respect of conversions from Canadian Funds to U.S. Funds or vice versa the Bank of Canada noon spot rate for Canadian Funds against U.S. Funds or U.S. Funds against Canadian Funds (as quoted or published from time to time by the Bank of Canada), as the case may be, on the relevant date of determination, and (2) in respect of conversions to Canadian Funds or U.S. Funds of currencies other than Canadian Funds or U.S. Funds, Royal's spot buying rate in Canadian Funds or U.S. Funds, as the case may be, for purchasing any such foreign currency on the relevant date of determination;

  • The rate of exchange to determine the amount of such excess shall be the Spot Buying Rate.

  • If for the purposes of obtaining judgement in any court in any jurisdiction or for any other purpose hereunder it becomes necessary to convert into the currency of such jurisdiction (“Judgement Currency”) any amount due hereunder in any currency other than the Judgement Currency, then such conversion shall be made at the Spot Buying Rate prevailing on the Business Day before the day on which judgement is given.

  • Spot Rate for a currency means the rate determined by the Administrative Agent or the L/C Issuer, as applicable, to be the rate quoted by the Person acting in such capacity as the spot rate for the purchase by such Person of such currency with another currency through its principal foreign exchange trading office at approximately 11:00 a.m. on the date two Business Days prior to the date as of which the foreign exchange computation is made; provided that the Administrative Agent or the L/C Issuer may obtain such spot rate from another financial institution designated by the Administrative Agent or the L/C Issuer if the Person acting in such capacity does not have as of the date of determination a spot buying rate for any such currency; and provided further that the L/C Issuer may use such spot rate quoted on the date as of which the foreign exchange computation is made in the case of any Letter of Credit denominated in an Alternative Currency.
