Steep slope hazard area definition
Steep slope hazard area means an area on a slope of 40 percent inclination or more within a vertical elevation change of at least 20 feet. For the purpose of this definition, a slope is delineated by establishing its toe and top and is measured by averaging the inclination over at least 10 feet of vertical relief.
