Substitute teacher means a person employed to perform the normal duties of a teacher who is absent.
School bus means every motor vehicle owned by a public or governmental agency or private school and operated for the transportation of pupils, children of pupils, teachers and other persons acting in a supervisory capacity, to or from school or school activities, or, privately owned and operated for compensation for the transportation of pupils, children of pupils, teachers and other persons acting in a supervisory capacity to or from school or school activities (Education Law §11[1] and Vehicle and Traffic Law §142).
Private school means a school regulated under chapter 28A.195 or 28A.205 RCW.
Weapon-free school zone means school property and a vehicle used by a school to transport students to or from school property.
Private carrier means an owner of a transport vehicle other than a public carrier who uses that vehicle solely for the carriage of goods which are his property or the carriage of which is necessary for the purposes of his business, not being a business of providing transport, or who uses the vehicle for any of the purposes specified in sub-section (2) of section 44;
Alternative school means an environment established apart from the regular educational program and that includes policies and rules, staff, and resources designed to accommodate student needs and to provide a comprehensive education consistent with the student learning goals and content standards established by the school district or by the school districts participating in a consortium. Students attend by choice.
Approved abuse education training program means a training program using a curriculum approved by the abuse education review panel of the department of public health or a training program offered by a hospital, a professional organization for physicians, or the department of human services, the department of education, an area education agency, a school district, the Iowa law enforcement academy, an Iowa college or university, or a similar state agency.
Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Management Program means a management program covering the duration of a state permit for a municipal separate storm sewer system that includes a comprehensive planning process that involves public participation and intergovernmental coordination, to reduce the discharge of pollutants to the maximum extent practicable, to protect water quality, and to satisfy the appropriate water quality requirements of the CWA and regulations, and this article and its attendant regulations, using management practices, control techniques, and system, design, and engineering methods, and such other provisions that are appropriate.
Child support services means any civil, criminal or administrative action taken by the Division of
Training program means an NCA-approved Iowa college, the Iowa law enforcement academy or an Iowa hospital approved by the department to conduct emergency medical care training.
CMRS means Commercial Mobile Radio Services as defined in 47 C.F.R. Part 20.
Marijuana processor means a person who processes marijuana items in this state.
Universal Digital Loop Carrier (UDLC means the DLC system that has a CO terminal channel bank that is connected to the CO switches on the analog side.
Classroom teacher means a teacher subject to annual performance evaluation review under the provisions of Education Law Section 3012-c.
Purchased Services means Services that You or Your Affiliate purchase under an Order Form, as distinguished from those provided pursuant to a free trial.
State school aid fund means the state school aid fund established in section 11 of article IX of the state constitution of 1963.
AOA means the American Osteopathic Association.
Peer support specialist means an individual who has experienced a severe and persistent mental illness and who has successfully completed standardized training to provide peer support services through the medical assistance program or the Iowa Behavioral Health Care Plan.
Private Cloud System (PCS) A cloud infrastructure provisioned for exclusive use by a single organization comprising multiple consumers (e.g., business units). It may be owned, managed, and operated by the Requester, a third party, or some combination of them, and it may exist on or off premises.
