Teaching time definition

Teaching time means all time spent performing teaching duties whilst children are in attendance. 38.1.1 (b)“Non-teaching time” means all time spent performing duties related to teaching whilst children are not in attendance.

Teaching time means the time spent during the school day for instructional purposes including time spent in the classroom instructing students, homeroom, recess time, time for students to change classrooms, and preparation time. The Teaching Time in a week shall include the Teaching Time which would have occurred on any statutory holiday or religious holiday during that week.

Examples of Teaching time in a sentence

  • Teaching time that generates a payment under subsection 2 above shall not generate a payment under Article Five, Section E of this Agreement.

  • Teaching time will not be made up if schools are in compliance with instructional time as defined by the Public Education Department.

  • Teaching time while on Extended Parental Leave shall count as teaching time for seniority purposes.

  • Teaching time that generates a payment under subsection 2 or 3 above shall not generate a payment under Article 5(E) of this Agreement.

  • Teaching time will include instruction time with students and preparation time equal to one-half hour of preparation time for every two hours of student instruction time.

  • Teaching time is defined as classroom, laboratory and shop instruction provided to students by a teacher in subjects for which they are certified.

  • Teaching time does not include substitute teaching except as provided in Section 4.3.4 and the District collective bargaining agreement with the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Association of Substitute Teachers.

More Definitions of Teaching time

Teaching time means the time a teacher devotes in the fortnightly cycle to the activities set out in sub-clause 25.3 of this Agreement.
Teaching time means the amount of time, in hours, in a school year that a teacher is directly teaching and/or providing supervision of students rounded to two decimal places. The use of vacation, sick time, or other paid time off does not affect this percentage. For special education teachers and ELD teachers, teaching time includes but is not limited to co-teaching, assessing students, implementing IEP and MLL services, and working toward student goals and objectives.

Related to Teaching time

  • Teaching hospital means a hospital that trains students to become physicians, nurses, or other health or laboratory personnel.

  • Teaching Staff means teachers and the principal or head teacher employed at the Academy.

  • Engagement Period means the period beginning on May 9, 2022, and ending on the earlier of (i) twelve (12) months from the date of such date, (ii) the final closing, if any, of the Offering, or (iii) the date that either party to this Agreement gives the other party to this Agreement at least thirty (30) days’ advance written notice of termination of that certain engagement letter agreement by and between the Company and the Representative, dated as of May 9, 2022.

  • Religious holy day means a holy day observed by a religion whose places of worship are exempt from property taxation under Section 11.20, Tax Code.

  • Attending physician means the physician who has primary responsibility for the care of the patient and treatment of the patient's terminal disease.
