Teaching time definition

Teaching time means all time spent performing teaching duties whilst children are in attendance. 38.1.1 (b)“Non-teaching time” means all time spent performing duties related to teaching whilst children are not in attendance.

Teaching time means the time spent during the school day for instructional purposes including time spent in the classroom instructing students, homeroom, recess time, time for students to change classrooms, and preparation time. The Teaching Time in a week shall include the Teaching Time which would have occurred on any statutory holiday or religious holiday during that week.

Examples of Teaching time in a sentence

  • Teaching time that generates a payment under subsection 2 above shall not generate a payment under Article Five, Section E of this Agreement.

  • Teaching time will not be made up if schools are in compliance with instructional time as defined by the Public Education Department.

Teaching time means the amount of time, in hours, in a school year that a teacher is directly teaching and/or providing supervision of students rounded to two decimal places. The use of vacation, sick time, or other paid time off does not affect this percentage.
