Unbundled Local Loop definition

Unbundled Local Loop. “Loop” means the transmission path which extends from the Network Interface Device or demarcation point at an End User’s premise to the Main Distribution Frame or other designated frame or panel in the SBC-AMERITECH Serving Wire Center.
Unbundled Local Loop or “ULL” or “Loop” means a transmission path that extends from the Main Distribution Frame, DSX panel or functionally comparable piece of equipment in the Customer’s serving End Office to the Rate Demarcation Point (or network interface device (NID) if installed) in or at a Customer’s premises. The actual loop transmission facilities used to provide an ULL may utilize any of several technologies.
Unbundled Local Loop means the physical connection from the end user’s premise to the carrier’s point of presence, excluding switching or ports, provided by one carrier to another carrier.

More Definitions of Unbundled Local Loop

Unbundled Local Loop. (ULL) is as defined in Attachment III, Section 4. “Voluntary Federal Subscriber Financial Assistance Programs” are Telecommunications Services provided to low-income subscribers, pursuant to requirements established by the appropriate state regulatory body. “Wire Center” denotes a building or space within a building which serves as an aggregation point on a given carrier’s network, where transmission facilities and circuits are connected or switched. Wire Center can also denote a building in which one or more Central Offices, used for the provision of Telephone Exchange Services and exchange Access Services, are located. However, for purposes of collocation service, Wire Center shall mean those points eligible for such connections as specified in the FCC Docket No. 91-141, and rules adopted pursuant thereto.
