Verification on oath or affirmation means a declaration, made by an individual on oath or affirmation before a notarial officer, that a statement in a record is true.
Ratification means the acceptance by a local union and by both an institution and the PSEA of the terms of a Collective Agreement that includes this Common Agreement. The local unions and institutions are those listed in 12 above.
Reaffirmation Agreement means that certain Reaffirmation Agreement dated as of the Closing Date made by each Borrower in favor of the Administrative Agent for the benefit of the Secured Parties.
certificate of fitness means a certificate issued by the Department to a contract bus carrier.
Preponderance of the evidence means that it is more likely than not that the alleged conduct occurred. The decision-maker shall further recommend what action, if any, is required. If it is determined that sexual harassment occurred, the District will take steps to prevent the recurrence of the harassment and correct its discriminatory effect on the complainant and others if appropriate. Such remedies may include supportive measures.
