Unit dose definition

Unit dose means an amount or unit of a compound, mixture, or preparation containing a controlled substance that is separately identifiable and in a form that indicates that it is the amount or unit by which the controlled substance is separately administered to or taken by an individual.
Unit dose means the ordered amount of a drug in a dosage form prepared for a one-time administration to an individual and indicates the name, strength, lot number and beyond use date for the drug.
Unit dose means a sealed single-unit container so designed that the contents are administered to the patient as a single dose, direct from the container.
