United States business day definition

United States business day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or United States federal holiday and shall consist of the time period from 12:01 am through 12:00 midnight (Eastern time).
United States business day means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a day in which banks in New York, New York are closed.

  • Payment of margin in fiat currencies other than U.S. Dollars, Canadian Dollars, or Japanese Yen shall be considered in compliance with the requirements of this paragraph (j)(4) if received by the applicable clearing member by 12:00 p.m., Eastern Time, on the United States business day after the business day on which the margin call is issued.

  • The relevant deadline for payment of margin in fiat currencies other than U.S. Dollars may be extended by up to one additional United States business day and still be considered in compliance with the requirements of this paragraph (j)(4) if payment is delayed due to a banking holiday in the jurisdiction of issue of the currency.
