Validator Node definition

Validator Node means the collection of server hardware and software required to participate in a consensus on a Supported Blockchain Network by verifying and maintain a record of transactions as well as validating or producing new blocks on the Supported Blockchain Network ledger. “Node or “Nodes” have correlative meanings.
Validator Node means any person who is qualified under the criteria set out by Bitkub to be the validator on Bitkub Chain for verifying transactions on Bitkub Chain which shall obtain the reward pursuant to the criteria set out by Bitkub and the Smart Contract.
Validator Node means a computer containing any information required for the validation of the rules of consensus of the IDunion Networks and which is able to share its resources with nodes operated by other Stewards within the IDunion Networks.

Examples of Validator Node in a sentence

  • If someone on chain A reports that a Validator Node has signed two blocks at the same height on chain A and chain B, this Validator Node will get slashed on chain A for 5% of the Stake.

  • If the Validator Node is banned for 10 minutes and isn’t turned on after that, there will be a temporary loss of eligibility of the Validator Node and its Delegators to receive Block Rewards and Transaction Fees for a certain number of blocks, which will represent irreversible opportunity costs for the Validator Node and User.

  • If the Validator Node is banned for 24 hours, there will be a temporary loss of eligibility of the Validator Node and its Delegators to receive Block Rewards and Transaction Fees for a certain number of blocks, which will represent irreversible opportunity costs for the Validator Node and User.

  • If a Validator Node’s signature has not been included in 9,500 of the last 10,000 blocks or a Validator Node’s oracle votes has not been included in 21,600 of the last 432,000 blocks, this Validator Node will be turned off, banned for 10 minutes and will get slashed for 0.01% of the Stake.

Validator Node. For purposes of network efficiency, only a limited number of Nodes are permitted to exercise Validation Rights on the Network at any given time.
