Wheel base definition

Wheel base means the distance between the perpendicular lines constructed to the longitudinal median plane (of the vehicle) from the previously defined points A or B corresponding to two consecutive wheels situated on the vehicle, according to ISO Standard 612-1978, term No.6.4.

Wheel base means the distance from the centre of the front wheel to the centre of the rear wheel and in case the vehicle is fitted with more than one rear axle the distance measured in accordance with regulation 21(11).
