Our workplace. In every situation, we shall be committed to acting in a way that helps to build a good reputation for Bico. We shall be committed to developing a good working community by being inclusive and friendly towards our colleagues and partners. We do not accept any form of harassment, discrimination or any other inappropriate behaviour towards colleagues or anyone else we encounter as Bico employees. Bico opposes every form of corruption, and actively works to prevent it from happening. As a Bico employee, you must not handle a case or seek to influence a decision if there are particular circumstances that may undermine your confidence in your own independence. You must not accept or seek to obtain benefits for yourself or your close associates that are either inappropriate or could in any way be considered to harm Bico’s interests or reputation. You must not demand or accept personal favours for your services. We aim to be known for being scrupulous about making effective use of our working hours. Among other things, this means: • Arriving punctually in the morning, abiding by break times and leaving work in accordance with the agreed timeframe • Completing timesheets and mileage forms accurately. • Producing work of a quality equal to or higher than that which the customer expects. • Avoiding private errands during working hours. • Reducing private phone calls and keeping social media usage to a minimum. • Ensuring that we notify the company as soon as possible in the event of absence or sickness. Wherever possible, we shall try to see things from the customer’s perspective in cases where the customer challenges us in any way. We shall make sure that we handle other people’s property and assets with respect. This includes: • Being careful and tidy when we work in private homes. • Complying with rules and instructions when we work in new-builds or are subcontractors on major construction projects. • Ensuring that we keep our vehicles clean, tidy and undamaged. • Being careful with and looking after Bico’s tools, equipment and other property that we use for our work. We shall be committed to acting as positive representatives of Bico, by: • Ensuring that our language and appearance are not perceived as inappropriate or offensive to those around us. • Acting in a well-behaved and orderly manner at events organised by customers, suppliers or Bico. • Driving attentively and carefully in company vehicles. • Ensuring that we wear clean and undamaged work clothes and ...
