Notice to the Employee. The following terms of notice shall apply to employees based on length of service: one week for each complete year of service, with a minimum of two (2) weeks and up to a maximum of eight (8) weeks. The Employer may abbreviate the length of notice to the employee by paying to the employee in a lump sum, an amount equal to the employee’s weekly salary for each week that the notice is shortened.
