Unpaid Union Leave of Absence. Upon request of the Union, an employee may be granted a leave of absence without pay to perform full-time official duties on behalf of the Union. Such leave of absence shall be for a period of up to one year and may be extended for one or more additional periods of one year or less at the request of the Union. Advance approval of the VCAF is required for all such leaves of absence or extensions thereof.
