Purpose of this Law. This Law determine the extradition procedure for the purposes of prosecution or enforcement of a sentence. Article 2: Definitions of terms For the purposes of this Law, the following terms shall mean the following: 1° extradition treaty: agreement between Rwanda and another country relating toVu la Loi n° 30/2013 du 24/05/2013 portant Code de Procédure Pénale; Vu la Loi n° 47/2008 du 09/09/2008 relative à la prévention et à la répression du blanchiment de capitaux et du financement du terrorisme; Vu la Loi n° 45/2008 du 09/09/2008 relative à la lutte contre le terrorisme; Revu le Décret du 12/04/1886 relatif à l’extradition; ADOPTE: CHAPITRE PREMIER: DISPOSITIONS GENERALES Article premier: Objet de la présente loi La présente loi détermine la procédure d’extradition à des fins de poursuite ou d’exécution d’une peine. Article 2: Définitions des termes Aux fins de la présente loi, les termes repris ci-après ont les significations suivantes: 1º traité d'extradition: traité conclu entre le Rwanda et un autre paysukurikiranyweho icyaha: amasezerano u Rwanda rwagiranye n’ikindi gihugu yerekeranye no kohererezanya ukurikiranyweho icyaha; 2° igihugu gisaba: igihugu cy’amahanga gisaba u Rwanda gutanga umuntu ushakishwa; 3° igihugu gisabwa: igihugu cy’amahanga cyasabwe n’u Rwanda kohereza umuntu ushakishwa; 4° ihame ryihariye: ihame ryo kudakuriranwa cyangwa kudacirirwa urubanza ku bindi byaha usibye gusa icyaha cyasabiwe iyoherezwa; 5° umuntu ushakishwa: umuntu ukurikiranyweho icyaha n’igihugu gisaba ko yoherezwa kugira ngo abe ari cyo kimuburanisha cyangwa arangirizemo igihano yakatiwe; 6° kohererezanya ukurikiranyweho icyaha: ugutanga umuntu ushakishwa n’ikindi gihugu uri ku butaka bw’u Rwanda cyangwa uri ku butaka bw’ikindi gihugu bisabwe n’u Rwanda. Ingingo ya 3: Inzira zikoreshwa mu kohererezanya ukurikiranyweho icyaha Kohererezanya ukurikiranyweho icyaha hagatithe surrender of a person prosecuted for an offence; 2° requesting State: foreign country that requests Rwanda to surrender a requested person; 3° requested State: a foreign country that Rwanda has requested to surrender a requested person;
