A nurse who holds a Temporary Certificate of Registration in accordance with the Nursing Act, and its Regulations must obtain her or his General of Registration prior to the of her or his Temporary Certificate. If the nurse fails to obtain her or his General Certificate of Registration prior to the of her or his Temporary Certificate of Registration, but in any case not longer than two years from her or his date of hire , she/he will be deemed to be not qualified for the position of registered nurse and she/he will be terminated from the employ of the Hospital. Such termination shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration. This combined agreement contains provisions applicable to full time nurses and provisions applicable to part time nurses. The combination of the agreements shall not have the effect of changing the composition of any existing bargaining units nor shall it have the effect of conferring representation rights where such rights do not presently exist. The scope of the applicable bargaining unit is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions.
