Lead Mechanic. Must possess the qualifications of a Mechanic in the category in which he is employed, plus the ability to satisfactorily direct the work of others.

Lead Mechanic. Promotional Bulletins addressed to those employees who hold the qualifications of a mechanic in the category concerned who meet the requirement of Article 4.03.08. Selection will be on the basis of basic category seniority and in accordance with Article 16.11.05 and Letter of Understanding No. 4. 4.05.27 Unassigned
Lead Mechanic. A Lead Mechanic shall be a Mechanic who, as a working member of a group, is charged with the responsibility of leading, directing, and approving the work of other employees. Lead Mechanics may be required to sign for their own work and the work of others in their group, provided, however, that such signing shall not relieve any other member of his group from responsibility for the work he performed or from being required to sign appropriate Company work records. Lead Mechanics must hold valid Federal licenses as required for this assignment as set forth in Article V of this Agreement and may be required to give instruction and training to employees of any classification covered by this Agreement except Aircraft Inspectors.
Lead Mechanic. The Supervisor of Transportation shall designate, with the approval of the Superintendent, one mechanic to be a lead mechanic. Any such designation shall be made, annually prior to the opening of school in September. Upon such designation being made and approved by the Superintendent, the person designated to be lead mechanic shall be issued a Supplemental Contract at the rate of fifty cents ($0.50) for each hour worked. Any regular mechanic who wishes to be considered for this position must submit a request for consideration in writing no later than August 1 of each year or upon vacancy of the position. An interview will be granted to all mechanics that have applied for the lead mechanic position. Employees who have applied for the position shall be given written, specific reasons for not being awarded the supplemental contract, upon their written request. All mechanics will be trained on the fuel management system in case of absence of the Lead Mechanic.
Lead Mechanic. Employees in the following classes when designated in writing by their supervisor or xxxxxxx as a lead mechanic, shall be entitled to a $9.00 per day premium when required to perform one or more of the following duties: plan, design, detail, sketch, layout, estimate, order materials, or take the lead on any job when at least two or more mechanics who are in the same classification are assigned to the same job. Effective July 1, 2002 the rate shall be $10.00 per day. 7326 Xxxxxxx Employees are not eligible to receive both Lead Worker Pay and Acting Assignment Pay.
Lead Mechanic. The duties of a Lead Mechanic shall be the same as Mechanics, and in addition he shall assign work to, and lead and direct the other Mechanics.
Lead Mechanic. The employer shall designate one Lead Mechanic. Position will be assigned based on seniority and will include $0.50/hour additional compensation. Assigned employee retains position until resignation and no temporary assignments will be made.
