Common use of Preceptor Differential Clause in Contracts

Preceptor Differential. 8 The Hospital will pay a qualified preceptor nurse a differential of $1.75 per hour 9 worked as a preceptor to perform coaching (1) of a newly hired nurse (including a 10 re-entry nurse) during that nurse’s introductory period, or (2) of a nurse in a 11 Hospital residency program. The Hospital shall further have the discretion to 12 assign preceptor duties to a qualified preceptor at the above-described rate in 13 other circumstances it deems appropriate. This differential will not be paid for 14 any unworked hours or for any hours when the nurse is not working as a 15 preceptor.
