In no event shall the Medical Continuation Benefit have the effect of extending or otherwise modifying the maximum COBRA Continuation Period.
The COBRA Continuation Period for medical and dental insurance under this Section 3.5(v) shall be deemed to run concurrent with the continuation period federally mandated by COBRA (generally 18 months).
