Vergoeding: R250 per dag

Werwing en Seleksie Toetsing:

1. Fiksheidstoets:

Voltooi ‘n 2.4km draf onder 15 minute; maksimum hoeveelheid ‘sit-ups’ binne een (1) minuut. Maksimum hoeveelheid ‘Push-ups” binne een (1) minuut. Dra 2x25 kg skuim xxxxx oor ‘n afstand van 50 meter onder 60 sekondes. Sleep van een 45mm x 30 meter lengte brandslang onder druk oor ‘n afstande van 30 meter onder 36 sekondes.

2. Onderhoudsessie

1. ASSISTANT FIREFIGHTERS

Job requirements: Grade 12 Between 18 and 35 years old Valid code B or C driving license not mandatory but would be beneficial Competence in at least two the official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans , English, isiXhosa – Read, Write and Speaking) NO Criminal record and police security clearance(not older then 3 months) must be part of application Must be physically fit and mentally healthy Preference will be given to persons with basic firefighting training Must be able to work together in a team relationship High level of responsibility Must work overtime when necessary Candidates must reside in the Bergrivier Municipal Area.

Duties: To perform basic firefighting and disaster management functions.

Compensation: R250 per day

Working hours: 40 hours per week. Candidates must be willing to work hours and on weekend, as well as from time to time as required, in other parts of the municipal area, to provide service on request.

Contact period: 01 November 2024 to 31 June 2025 or as otherwise agreed.

Recruitment and Selection Testing:

1. Fitness test:

Complete a 2.4km run in under 15 minutes; maximum amount of “sit-ups” within on (1) minute. Maximum amount of “Push-ups” within on (1) minute. Carry 2x25kg foam cans over a distance of 50 meters in under 60 seconds. Drag one (1) 45mmx30 meter length of fire hose under pressure over a distance of 30 meter in under 36 seconds.

2. Interview Session

Candidates should not be afraid of confined spaces, heights, depths, water, blood and corpses. Candidates must be willing to work weekends if required according to duty schedule.

Fitness test will take place on Tuesday, 29 October 2024 at 09:00 at the Rhinopark-sportsground, Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx street Piketberg. Candidates who arrive late will not be tested. Candidates must arrive in comfortable training clothes.
