Common use of A-l Clause in Contracts

A-l. The term “ eligible employee” shall mean an em­ ployee who has worked an average of thirty-two (32) hours per week (effective September 1, 1975 twenty eight (28) hours per week) for a period of eight (8) consecutive calendar weeks (256 hours) (effective September 1, 1975, 224 hours). Such an employee becomes eligible for health and welfare benefits on the first day of the second calendar month immediately following the completion of the eight (8) consecutive calendar weeks (256 hours) (effective September 1, 1975, 224 hours) and such date shall hereinafter be referred to as.his eligibility date.
