Common use of Absences on either the last Clause in Contracts

Absences on either the last. scheduled working day prior to the holiday or the first scheduled working day after the holiday will be excused provided that the employee presents a reason satisfactory to the Company and further provided that the employee works at least part of the pay period in which the holiday falls except in the case of approved leave of absence, sick leave, or vacation. An employee scheduled to work on a holiday who fails to report and cannot show just cause for their absence shall be denied holiday pay.
