Common use of Abuse of Adults with Disabilities Intervention Act Clause in Contracts

Abuse of Adults with Disabilities Intervention Act. Subgrantee certifies that it is in compliance with the Abuse of Adults with Disabilities Intervention Act to protect people with disabilities who are abused, neglected or financially exploited and who, because of their disability, cannot seek assistance on their own behalf. Anyone who believes a person with a disability living in a domestic setting is being abused, neglected or financially exploited must file a complaint with the Office of Inspector General, IDHS. Subgrantee has an obligation to report suspected fraud or irregularities committed by individuals or other entities with which they interact on behalf of IDHS and should make a report to the appropriate program office (20 ILCS 2435).
