Common use of Acceptance of reimbursement Clause in Contracts

Acceptance of reimbursement. in cash or in kind, for travel subsistence and other expenses incident to attendance at meetings, provided such attendance and reimbursement is approved by the Appointing Authority or his/her designee. Such reimbursement can be made directly to the employee. An employee’s official business may not be reimbursed, and payment may not be made on his or her behalf, for excessive (e.g., reimbursement which exceeds actual cost) personal living expenses, gifts, entertainment, travel or other benefits. At no time shall an employee accept reimbursement from both the Commonwealth and another source for the same expenses.
