Common use of Accident/Incident and Suspected Unapproved Parts Investigation Information Requests Clause in Contracts

Accident/Incident and Suspected Unapproved Parts Investigation Information Requests. When either the FAA or CAAI needs information for the investigation of service incidents, accidents, or suspected unapproved parts involving a product, part, or appliance imported under these Implementation Procedures, the request for the information should be directed to the appropriate office of the exporting authority. In turn, upon receipt of the request for information, the exporting authority should immediately do everything necessary to make sure the requested information is provided in a timely manner. If urgency requires that either the FAA or CAAI requests the information directly from the manufacturer because immediate contacts cannot be made with the exporting authority, the importing authority shall inform its counterpart authority of this action as soon as possible.
