Accidents and Dangerous Occurrences. The Hirer must report all accidents involving injury to the public to an authorised representative of the Parish Council as soon as possible. Any failure of equipment, either that belonging to the Parish Council, or brought in by the Hirer must also be reported as soon as possible. The Parish Council may provide storage space for regular users and may charge a deposit for the use of a key to these storage spaces. These keys remain the property of the Parish Council and on request must be returned to the Parish Council. The Parish Council accepts no responsibility for any stored equipment or other property brought onto or left at the premises and all liability for loss or damage is hereby excluded. All equipment and other property, other than that stored on the premises by agreement, must be removed at the end of each hiring or storage period. No other alterations or additions may be made to the Premises, and no fixtures may be installed, or placards, or other articles be attached in any way to any part of the Premises without the prior written approval of the Parish Council. Any alteration, fixture or fitting, or attachment, so approved, shall, at the discretion of the Parish Council, remain in the premises at the end of the hiring and become the property of the Parish Council or be removed by the Hirer. The Hirer must make good to the satisfaction of the Parish Council any damage caused to the premises by such removal. A number of actions were put in place in 2020 to enable the Council halls, buildings and activities to reopen safely. As restrictions are lifted following a third lockdown in 2021 it will be deemed good practice to continue to follow Covid safe guidelines regarding hand, face and hall hygiene so we can continue to operate in a Covid Safe way. Hirers must encourage regular handwashing or sanitisation of hands. The Parish Council cleans the halls on a Monday and Thursday morning each week. The Hirer is responsible for sanitising key touch points, including sanitiser dispensers, all door plates, light switches (taking care not to spray sanitiser on them directly) handles, taps, chairs and tables after each hire with sanitiser and disposable paper towels and sign the “Cleaning Log” provided in the hall. Everyone has a responsibility to maintain social distancing and wearing of masks in keeping with government guidelines at that moment in time, as guidelines are liable to change. Hirers must adhere to guidance by the Council on numbers in attendance and test, trace and isolate will remain in place so there will be an ongoing need to keep records of attendance at all events for this purpose.
