Common use of Accounting/Records/Audits Clause in Contracts

Accounting/Records/Audits. Grantee shall maintain complete and accurate records of its actual Project costs, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and practices, and shall retain said records for at least three years after final disbursement by Grantor. During such time, Grantee shall make said records available (or cause them to be made available) to the State of California for inspection and audit purposes during normal business hours. Expenditures not documented, and expenditures not allowed under this Agreement or otherwise authorized in writing by Grantor shall be borne by Grantee. The audit shall be confined to those matters connected with this Agreement, including but not limited to administration and overhead costs.
