Common use of Acequias Clause in Contracts

Acequias. Fifty-five (55) individual Acequias, signatory hereto, which are political subdivisions of the State and members of the TVAA that represent and bind their respective Parciantes on common issues, in accordance with applicable law, including, but not limited to, water sharing with other Parties, protection from priority administration and calls, and waivers of protests to the permit applications and actions described in this Settlement Agreement. Such waivers of protests relate only to Parciantes’ surface water rights and not to their groundwater rights, if any.
