Common use of Acquired Rights Clause in Contracts

Acquired Rights. All provisions of this Agreement are subject to applicable laws now or hereafter in effect. If any law now existing or hereafter enacted, or proclamation, annexation, merger, or other structural change of the Board, the entire Agreement shall not be invalidated and the existing rights, privileges, and obligations of the employees shall remain in existence and either party, upon notice to the other, may reopen this present Agreement for negotiation.
