Activities of Daily Living. (IADLs) — Activities related to independent living, including preparing meals, managing money, shopping for groceries or personal items, performing housework, and communication. Internal Control Number (ICN) — The unique number assigned by the Department’s MMIS to identify an individual Claim or Encounter. Limited English Proficiency (LEP) — An individual’s limited ability to read, write, speak, or understand English because English is not the individual’s primary language.
