Common use of Additional Client Rights Clause in Contracts

Additional Client Rights. a. In compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and under RCW 2.42.010, RCW 2.43.010, RCW 74.04.025 and RCW 49.60.010, the Contractor is responsible to provide or arrange for language services to Clients with limited english proficient (LEP). The Contractor shall ensure that their staff working with Clients with LEP can effectively communicate with them. When communicating in writing, the Contractor shall ensure that DSHS Clients have access to documents transferred into the Client’s primary language. The Contractor must not discriminate against individuals with LEP.
