Common use of Administration of Benefits Policies Clause in Contracts

Administration of Benefits Policies. The parties recognize that the payment of benefits is solely the responsibility of the carrier(s). This does not release the Employer from liability for errors in procedures or administration. If a member encounters difficulty in the application of any portion of the Benefit Plans, the Bargaining Unit and/or the member may request and receive written clarification of the carrier's position from the Employer, subject to a release by an employee of protected information.
