ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE AND ADMINISTRATIVE HOLIDAYS. 1. All employees directed by management to work during hours which have been declared, because of weather conditions, "administrative leave" at their particular campus shall receive double the regular hourly rate of pay for each hour worked during the period of the "administrative leave". An employee may choose, with the consent and approval of supervision, to take compensatory time off at the rate of one (1) hour off for each hour worked during the period of the administrative leave in lieu of premium pay. If the employee is directed to work for more than eight (8) hours the employee shall receive this pay or compensatory time in lieu of overtime. 2. In the event that a declaration of "administrative leave" is delayed because the University administrator for that particular campus responsible for making an "administrative leave" determination is not immediately available to assess the weather conditions which are later determined to warrant "administrative leave", those employees on duty and working during the period in which the declaration of "administrative leave" is delayed shall receive the above rate for the hours actually worked by them during the period of such delay, to a maximum of two (2) paid hours at this rate for work outside the "administrative leave" period. 3. ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE AND ADMINISTRATIVE HOLIDAYS. 1. All employees The University, in its exclusive discretion, may declare an administrative leave at a campus or campuses of the University.
2. Any employee normally scheduled to work during the period of an administrative leave at a campus at which administrative leave has been declared will receive administrative leave pay at the regular rate for such normally scheduled hours, not to exceed the designated length of the administrative leave.
a) Any employee directed by management to work during hours which have been declared, because of weather conditions, "administrative leave" at their particular campus shall receive double the regular hourly rate of pay for each hour worked are included within his normal work schedule during the period of the "an administrative leave". An employee may choose, with the consent and approval of supervision, to take compensatory time off leave at a campus at which administrative leave has been declared will be paid at the straight time rate of one (1) hour off for each hour any such time worked during the period of the administrative leave. This pay will be in addition to any administrative leave in lieu of premium pay. If pay to which the employee is may be entitled under paragraph 2 of this Article.
b) Any employee directed by management to work hours which are not included within his normal work schedule during a period of administrative leave shall be paid at double the regular hourly rate for more than eight (8) hours any such time worked during the employee shall receive this pay or compensatory time in lieu period of overtimethe administrative leave.
24. In the event that a declaration an administrative leave is called which commences at or prior to the start of "administrative leave" is delayed because an employee's scheduled shift, any employee not directed to work shall be provided with reasonable notice not to report for work. In the event that the University administrator fails to give such reasonable notice and as a result an employee reports fit and ready for that particular campus responsible for making an "administrative leave" determination is not immediately available to assess work, the weather conditions employee, if he so requests, shall be guaranteed a minimum of three hours work, which are later determined to warrant "administrative leave"shall be paid in accordance with paragraph 3 of this Article; or in lieu thereof, those employees on duty and working during the period in which the declaration of "administrative leave" is delayed shall receive three hours pay at the above straight time rate in addition to administrative leave pay as provided in paragraph 2 of this Article, if no work can be provided by the University. Reasonable notice shall be conclusively presumed to have been given if the University telephones the employee's home or notifies designated radio station(s) in the area of the campus of the administrative leave period at least one hour prior to the employee's starting time. For weather related administrative leaves, reasonable notice may be given by putting a message on a phone line that unit members have been advised to call for such notifications. This message shall include instructions regarding the hours actually worked by them during the period of such delayunit member’s need to call back regarding delayed openings, if applicable. The three (3) hour guarantee described herein shall also apply to a maximum of two an employee who has been at work, as regularly scheduled, for less than three (23) paid hours at this rate for work outside the "time that administrative leave" periodleave is called.
35. Any hours paid pursuant to paragraphs 3 and/or 4 of this Article shall not be included in any computation regarding overtime pay.
