Common use of Advancement for Training Clause in Contracts

Advancement for Training. An employee shall advance horizontally on the salary schedule if additional training is acquired as per the above and if the following conditions are met: a. Satisfactory evidence of such coursework is provided to the employer by September 15th or January 15th. Satisfactory evidence shall be an official transcript or a letter of coursework completion issued by the appropriate institution or program. b. Payment on the new column will commence the first pay of the year, provided the employer has been provided satisfactory evidence on or before September 15th. c. Payment on the new column will commence the first full pay of the second semester after the employer’s receipt of satisfactory evidence if it is received before January 15th.
