Advisory Role of the Faculty in the Academic Administration of the College. 1. The Board of Trustees grants to the faculty advisory responsibility for fundamental academic matters including, but not limited to, admission and graduation requirements, curriculum, subject matter and methods of instruction, research, coordination, and those aspects of student life, which relate to the educational process. 2. The Faculty Council shall be the primary means through which the faculty makes its recommendations on those academic matters for which it has been granted advisory responsibility. The College President or the Vice President for Academic Affairs may appoint appropriate academic staff members to such committees as long as the number of staff members does not exceed one third of the number of members of the committee.
