Agency Capacity Sample Clauses

The Agency Capacity clause defines the authority and legal standing of a party acting as an agent on behalf of another entity in a contractual relationship. It typically clarifies that the agent has been duly authorized to enter into the agreement and perform obligations on behalf of the principal, and may require the agent to provide evidence of such authority if requested. This clause ensures that all parties understand the agent's role and prevents disputes over whether the agent had the power to bind the principal, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized commitments.
