Aggregates. Add the following to the second paragraph: “Crushed gravels utilized for coarse aggregate in the production of any Hot Mix Asphalt Mixture to be placed on traffic lanes and ramps on the Mainline Thruway and Spurs shall be processed so that 90% of all particles larger than 4.75 mm have a minimum of two (2) fractured faces and 95% shall have a minimum of one (1) fractured face. Where MM 5.16 requires higher percentages of fractured faces, the higher percentages shall be used.”
