AIRC Generally. 4.1 Guidelines to the AIRC in the Exercise of Powers, Functions and Discretions 4.1.1 In the exercise of its powers, functions and discretions in this Agreement, the AIRC must ensure that: (a) it has regard to the objects of this Agreement; (b) the matters are set down for hearing as soon as possible; (c) the rules of natural justice and procedural fairness are applied and that relevant legislation is complied with; (d) the hearing of the matter be concluded as soon as reasonably possible; and (e) it acts according to equity, good conscience and the substantial merits of the case, without regard to technicalities and legal forms.
