Allegation of Conflict of Interest. 5.4.1 If an individual affected by the committee decision or a committee member feels that one or more members of the committee are in a conflict of interest or appearance of a conflict of interest, the individual shall bring in writing the relevant facts to the attention of the committee chair. Disclosure must take place before the person in alleged conflict participates in any meeting or other process at which the subject matter of the conflict of interest will be considered, or immediately upon being made aware of the alleged conflict. The Association or the Employer may also raise conflict of interest concerns with the chair. The committee chair shall inform the affected committee member(s) and shall forward a copy of the signed allegation to the person(s) alleged to have a conflict of interest, and provide an invitation to submit a written response to the allegation.
