ALTERATION OF ORDINARY. SHIFT Except for those employees that are on paid on-call or standby status, an employee may be called into work on a shift that is not his or her regular shift on a mandatory basis only when there is an emergency. For the purposes of this clause, an Aemergency@ shall mean those circumstances in which the City or any part thereof is suffering or is in imminent danger of suffering from a natural disaster or other event, including floods, tornadoes, or other occurrences which will seriously and substantially endanger the health, safety, welfare or property of the citizens of the City of Lincoln as determined by the Department Head or the Mayor.
