Common use of Alterations and Additional Equipment Clause in Contracts

Alterations and Additional Equipment. (a) ActewAGL may (acting reasonably) require alterations to equipment, movement of equipment or the installation of additional equipment at a Receipt Station including alterations to equipment or installation of additional equipment to achieve upgraded measurement performance, or to accommodate changes in Gas demand characteristics. (b) Where ActewAGL owns any Receipt Station components which are to be replaced or altered under clause 14.8(a), ActewAGL must undertake the work itself at ActewAGL's expense. (c) Where ActewAGL does not own the components, ActewAGL must notify the User of the alterations required under clause 14.8(a) and the User must promptly carry out such works or the User must procure the owner of the components to carry out such works and, if the User (or, if applicable, the owner of the components) does not complete the works within a reasonable period specified by ActewAGL, ActewAGL may carry out such alterations or install such equipment at the reasonable cost of the User.
