Common use of Alternative C Clause in Contracts

Alternative C. The Data Provider shall provide Patient Data only to the extent permitted by, and in accordance with the applicable requirements of, the Policies and Procedures. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, except in connection with the provision of Patient Data for treatment purposes, as defined under HIPAA, the Data Provider shall, to the extent practicable, limit the Patient Data provided in response to a request received through the System for information or access to information to that information contained in a limited data set, as defined by HIPAA. The Data Provider shall in any event limit the Patient Data disclosed pursuant to a request received through the System for information or access to information to the Patient Data that is the minimum necessary to respond to the request.59
