Common use of Alternative Minimum Service Clause in Contracts

Alternative Minimum Service. A Participant is eligible for an alternative normal retirement benefit if he has at least years (insert number) of Total Credited Service, regardless of the Participant's age. In-Service Distribution to Eligible Employees permitted (i.e., a qualifying Participant may commence receiving retirement benefits while in service without first incurring a Bona Fide Separation from Service), if the Participant meets the minimum service requirement specified immediately above and is at least age 62 (unless a lower safe-harbor age is permitted under applicable federal law), subject to applicable Plan provisions concerning recalculation and offset applied at re-retirement to account for the value of benefits received prior to re-retirement. This rule shall apply to (check one): all Participants only the following class(es) of Participants (must specify - specific positions are permissible; specific individuals may not be named): .
